Equal® Sweetener is safe. Aspartame, the sweetening ingredient in Equal, is one of the most studied
food ingredients in FDA history. It has been proven safe by over 200 objective
scientific studies and is accepted as safe in more than 100 countries
worldwide.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has studied aspartame extensively
over the past 24 years and has never identified any safety concerns.
The safety of aspartame has been confirmed by regulatory authorities

countries,
including Health Canada, the European Commission's Scientific Committee on
