Ask Sara, the Equal Food Scientist

Q: I drink a lot of tea throughout the day, and I like it really sweet. How much Equal is too much?

A: We like our beverages sweet, too! To answer your question, you can make your tea as sweet as you like. The sweetening agent in Equal has been widely researched, and its safety has been proven over and over again in the last 20 years. According to the International Food Information Council Foundation, the acceptable daily intake of Equal sweetener is as high as 97 packets -- enough to sweeten a whole lot of tea!
