With record-breaking temperatures sizzling around the country this summer, you might find yourself looking for new spins on that classic quencher, iced tea. One great way to brew tea without heating up your kitchen is to use the power of the sun to make sun tea. Although you can purchase a special sun tea jar with a spigot, any clear sealed container will work. My Sweet & Spicy Sun Tea recipe blends classic orange pekoe tea with cinnamon and cloves. It´s a Southern style iced tea, so it’s very sweet; but since the sweetness comes from Equal, it’s a worry-free indulgence.
For another twist on iced tea, try my zesty Bayou Zinger. I´ve chosen the vividly-colored Celestial Seasonings® Red Zinger® herbal tea as a base, and enhanced it with lemon and cinnamon flavors. With fresh mint leaves as a garnish, this refreshing cooler looks simply stunning in a tall glass.
